Gaelic Language Plan

The importance of Gaelic language and culture

We are proud of our long-standing and unwavering commitment to serving Gaelic communities in Scotland. The Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act of 2005 and the dedicated work of Bòrd na Gàidhlig have significantly revitalised the language and culture.

We are developing an updated Gaelic Language Plan, that outlines how we will contribute to Gaelic being visible and audible daily across Scotland.
