Oban harbour

Oban harbour is home to many commercial, fishing, fish-farm and leisure vessels. In addition, Oban is an important stopping-off point for a wide range of leisure vessels enjoying some of the best cruising that is available anywhere and is increasingly a port-of call for cruise liners.

All vessels operating in the bay are requested to listen to VHF CH 12 at all times. Large vessels will make movement safety announcements on VHF CH 12. It is important all vessels are aware of these movements so appropriate action can be taken to ensure navigational safety.
