Community Fund Eligibility

Our fund is administered by Foundation Scotland. See below to find out more about the eligibility criteria before you apply.

Eligibility criteria

Plus

  • Be based within, or predominantly serve, the named communities within the geographical restrictions of this fund

  • Be able to complete the project within 12 months of receiving funding

  • Have an annual income that does not exceed £250,000

We expect that applications to the fund are able to demonstrate the following

  • Projects must support people experiencing disadvantage or barriers to opportunity.

  • Projects must demonstrate evidence of local need.

  • Projects must provide direct benefit to beneficiaries rather than general community activities.

  • Projects must demonstrate they are not duplicating existing local provision

Plus

  • Organisations not based in the stated areas of the six regions. link to interactive map

  • Organisations with an annual income in the most recent annual accounts exceeding £250,000.

  • Requests for ferry travel costs in isolation.

  • Requests for capital projects (i.e. building/ground works, renovations/refurbs, purchasing large capital items/equipment).

Funding Areas

  • New or existing community projects.

  • Equipment and materials.

  • Volunteer expenses and training.

  • Venue hire and activity costs.

  • Community engagement initiatives.

  • Transport costs directly related to project delivery.
