CalMac appoints Mona Mackenzie as Area Manager for Hebrides South

Caledonian MacBrayne (CalMac) has announced the appointment of Mona Mackenzie as Area Manager for Hebrides South.

A local to the area, Mona brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record within CalMac. Her career progression reflects both her own capability and commitment.

Mona began her journey as Port Manager at Barra, before moving into the role of Deputy Area Manager for Hebrides North, and now steps into her latest position as Area Manager for Hebrides South.

Colleagues who have worked alongside Mona will be familiar with the energy, personality and tenacity she brings to her work. She also offers a deep understanding of the area, its people and the communities CalMac serves, qualities that will be central to her success in this new role.

Mona said: “I'm excited to take on the role and responsibilities of Area Manager for Hebrides South, my home area. It is an honour and a challenge I'm ready to embrace.
