ScotRail and CalMac announce partnership to enhance integrated travel
Caledonian MacBrayne and ScotRail have announced a new partnership agreement aimed at creating a more integrated, customer-focused transport network for their customers.
Building on existing work, the partnership will strengthen joint working across areas including timetabling, integrated ticketing such as Rail & Sail, communications, and disruption management.
A shared focus on improving the customer experience will see both organisations work together to reduce barriers to travel, improve connections, and encourage greater use of public transport.
Priority areas include customer insight, coordinated timetables, enhanced ticketing, joint promotion, and improved responses to disruption and major events.
Diane Burke, COO of CalMac, said: “This partnership will strengthen existing work while allowing us to explore new ways of working together to better serve our customers and reduce barriers to travel.”
David Ross, COO of ScotRail, said: “This is an important step in strengthening the connection between rail and ferry services, helping us deliver a more efficient and joined-up experience for our passengers.”
